About artist

(b. 1984)
In 2010, she completed her Master's degree in painting at the Institute of Art in Cieszyn. Her artistic inspiration stemmed from the cities she lived in: Bytom, Kraków, New York, and Stockholm. She often portrayed people-frequently complete strangers-who captured the atmosphere of a specific place and moment. The human figure remains one of the visible motifs in her work. She presents people as actors entangled in social conventions, the theater of life, cultural constructs, and collectivity, as explored in the series "Audience". In contrast, her "Bookish" series places the individual in an intimate world where the line between reality and fantasy begins to blur, and the images take on the character of metaphors. She also enjoys illustrating fairy tales.
Her individual exhibitions include Mitteleurop at the Promotion Office of Bytom in 2013 and Vintage Curtains in Stockholm in 2012. She has also taken part in numerous group exhibitions, including at Rondo Sztuki in Katowice (2015), Nest Gallery in Geneva (2013), Useum in London (2012), Mitteleuropa in Stockholm (2011), and the National Museum in Kielce, where she won first prize in the Adam Korpak competition "Drawn Aphorisms". Her works have also been used several times for book cover designs, including by Stockholm University.
